Empowering Families is excited to host our Youth Empowerment Summer Camp 2026! The first week is designed especially for middle school students and focuses on building confidence, teamwork, and practical life skills. This session is for students entering grades 6-8 this fall.
In the mornings, students will participate in a variety of activities with a special focus on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and, mathematics), college and careers, and wellness. In the afternoons, students will visit local colleges, historical, and fun sites. The final day of camp is a day-long trip to Hot Springs, SD to visit the Mammoth Site and Evan's Plunge in Hot Springs!
The camps runs one week, from July 6-10, 2026 at the Guadalupe Center in Scottsbluff, NE. Parents can drop off youth from 7:30-8:00 AM and pick up will be at 3 PM. Lunch and snacks are inlcuded. The Friday will be half days and parents can pick up their student at 12 pm.
The cost is $60 per student for the full three-weeks. However, families that qualify for free and reduced lunch, medicaid, SNAP or other benefits can attend for FREE. Empowering Families volverá a organizar nuestro campamento de verano para el empoderamiento de los jóvenes, excepto que esta vez el programa estará abierto una semana a los estudiantes de secundaria. Por lo tanto, la primera semana de campamento es para estudiantes que estarán en los grados 6. a 8. este otoño.
Por las mañanas, los estudiantes participarán en diversas actividades centradas especialmente en STEAM (ciencia, tecnología, ingeniería, artes y matemáticas), la universidad y las carreras profesionales, y el estilo y bienestar de salud. Por las tardes, los estudiantes visitarán colegios locales, instituciones educativas, lugares históricos y sitios de gran interés.
El último día del campamento se realizará una excursión de un día completo a Hot Springs, Dakota del Sur, para visitar el Sitio Arqueológico de Mammoth y Evan's Plunge en Hot Springs.
El campamento se llevará a cabo del 6 al 10 de julio de 2026 en el Guadalupe Center en Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Los papás pueden dejar a los jóvenes de 7:30 a 8:00 a. m. y recogerlos a las 3 p. m. El almuerzo y botanas están incluidas. El viernes seravde medio día y los papás podrán recoger a sus hijos a las 12 p. m.
